Thank you for your patronage, ladies and gentlemen!
As far as projects go, I have some lying about and may complete them but for the most part I suck and don't anticipate many prolific surges in creativity. Here's a little bit from the animatic of my series "Waterfall From Grace" which may never see the light of day.
I really like this site and appreciate how it homogenizes all human beings into one big ball of "you CAN make something" without any pretenses to deter people from trying, which applies whether it's something made by a CalArts graduate leaving his thesis film, or some kid 10 years ago that wanted to make Jessica Simpson die. I just like that this place is a place where we can all see eye-to-eye and have an equal field for becoming creators.
Perhaps I'm talking nonsense but I'm sure someone reading might understand the sentiment. "everything by everyone" is truly the most apt slogan for what this site has become. I think everyone can and should try to animate; it's a therapeutic conduit for conveying your internal world and expressing the type of person that you are whether you're phenomenal at it or otherwise and the pandemic has certainly shown people that they have more of an opportunity to create than they would have imagined even if the plurality of them are making porn (including me sometimes),
This might be world-salad and it would make sense if it were since I'm not exactly the most stable person on the face of the planet; Hell mate I have no idea how I've made it 25 years, but regardless, Newgrounds to me is a true hub. I would very much like to continue contributing to this site and seeing a "creative career" spurn from it if it's within my ability. I also may start using news here to articulate my thoughts more often; problem is they're usually very sporadic and not the kind of material to be journaling, but there's nothing objectively stopping that. I see some people around here (Grayson comes to mind) using the news feed as though it were like Twitter or Facebook, which is pretty neat! I'd definitely love to keep people updated on my creative musings through this website if it's to any audience whatsoever.
I've been an avid connoisseur (for lack of a better term that came to mind; I know it's the most pretentious one I could have chosen) of Newgrounds since mid-2012, a few months after I decided I wanted to be an animator when I grew up (kind of shit decision but hey it's the one I made) and it's definitely a platform like no other. Long live Newgrounds!
